Getting There

The easiest way to Shida Night Market is probably on the MRT. If you are staying near the Night Market, ask the front desk of your hotel or hostel how to walk there.

  1. Take the MRT to the Taipower Station (marked "A" on the map below). The Taipower Station is 10 minutes south of the Taipei Main Station on the Xindian route.
  2. Walk out of the Taipower MRT station through the exit that says "Shida". You will be facing roughly southwest (towards the bottom left of the map below).
  3. Turn right when coming out of the station, and then a quick right again so that you are headed roughly northeast (towards the marker "B" on the map below).
  4. Walk straight until you see the night market down the side streets to the right.

The walk from the Taipower MRT station ("A") to the Shida Night Market ("B") should take about 3 to 5 minutes. You will pass a supermarket (on your right) and many food vendors along the way to the center of the night market.
